So I haven't been around for awhile and I'd like some advice on a bulb combination. I bought a 30x30x12 for a small frag tank and I plan to use 6 to 8 bulbs.

What bulb combo would you guys recommend for mm max growth of sps while still maintaining a nice color?

I hear the GE6500 bulbs are great for growth but what are your experiences? What other bulbs should I add to keep the color in the 12-14k range?

All advice is welcome.

It's all personal if it comes down to spectrum but grow you get only with enough 10k.
If you go 8 at least use one bulb with a 10k spectrum, the Giesemann Tropic is a good one to use.
As for my self my SPS are growing like crazy and can't complain about color either.

Using all Giesemann Bulbs,
Front to Back…………
Tropic
Aqua Blue
Super Actinic
Super Purple
Center consists of 4 x 175 LED’s and I use all blue at 100%, Warm white at 35% Red is turned off.
Actinic Blue
Aqua Blue

For now, I'm more concerned with growth until I have small colonies then I'll worry more about color.

Thanks for the info and the detailed description of your lighting layout.

Diesel, When you say you're running the Aquablue bulbs, is that the Azure or Coral?
