i have some helious t5s and do not like the color of the acttinics. was wondering if any of you else has these and how ya'll feel anout them.
the whites are great and i have a couple of thier pinks(didnt work for what i wanted them for)but adds great color.
but nothing hardly glows with the actinics.

I also think the actinics are a little weak, but I have read that they improve over time. The ATI Blue Plus bulbs are a nice alternative. I think they look better than the URI VHO super actinics (which are the gold standard for actinics) - they are more blue, instead of purple, and corals fluoresce like crazy under them.

My vote is for the Blus PLus also. I went that route instead of the actnic for my T5's.

I have both on my tank and think they work great together. You have to remember that the light we percieve and the light the corals perceive are totally different. I figure the more diverse the "blue" light spectum the better for my corals :)

I am running 2 of the Blue Pluses and 1 actnic along with 2 of the Suns. But I have been thinking about swaping it around and using 2 Actnics and 1 Blue Plus.

I like my T5s but will be experimenting by adding (2) 70w MHs and removing one of the T5s.
