will it hurt a tank to go say 24hrs or so without a filter running onit?
this would be a year old tank and it would be 24hrs.
some fish and some corals.

Do you have live rock? Any flow at all? If you dont have any flow at all I'd look into a battery powered airstone to keep some watermovement going.

If you have a powerhead and LR you should be fine.
