I was thinking that to. It is only about 2 mm in length. He is in my sump. Haven't had luck keeping pom pom crabs.

I think it looks like a little pom pom crab as well but can't be certain. Pom pom crabs lose their nems occasionally. Sometimes they will take zoas to replace them. I'd just keep an eye on it.

I put him in my sump but haven't seen him since. He is super tiny. So hopefully I can tell later if he makes it.

Have to see from the front, but also agree he looks like a pom pom crab. I have one in our nano (your old one Traclly) and they are very reclusive. Probably lost his nems and feels real defenseless. They are funny to watch- boxing the nems out at you "I'll sting you..back up, back up"

yea, it was hard for me to get a pic of him cause he was so small and I was to scared to hold him haha. You definitely have to put a pic up of the nano!!! I have tried to keep pom pom crabs and couldn't so I stopped trying. But that would be cool if he turns out to be one and I can manage to keep him. Still haven't seen him since I put him in the sump. He's about the same size as some of my amphipods down there haha.

Thought I'd show what my hitchhiker turned out to look like today. He is now currently about an 1 1/2 side to side across his shell, not counting his legs. He is getting huge. I had another one but either he escaped or the big one demolished him.
