I have a few questions for the Clownfish Guru's out there.....

I was wandering what is the life expectancy for the Clownfishes when they start breeding?

Since the male gets very little rest what is his life expectancy?

Does this wear them out compared to other fish?

Is it good or bad for the female to lay the eggs 2 days after the rock or item is cleared of the other eggs?

Clownfish have been known to reproduce for 10+ years, with some specimens living to 20 years in captivity. Males and females both share in the "wear" as the male does active work, but the production and laying of eggs takes a physical toll on the females. It is normal for the female to lay eggs within a day or two of the pair cleaning their nesting surface. How often are your clowns laying eggs? I've had pairs consistently produce in 9 days for months straight in the past.
