Hello guys and girls I recently did a major overhaul on our 29 gallon bio-cube. I pulled out the back filter box "thing", drilled the back for drain and return, hard plumbing it in(with valve on return side) built a sump. And I happen to have 2 quiet one 4000's on hand. I was wondering if you thought this pump was to much for a bio cube after all I used it on my 90 gallon. What do you think? I'll try to post some specs in a bit

Looking at their chart-- from pump to tank outlet is about 3' so that's about 786 gallons per hour to much? There will also be 2xWP-10 wavemakers in the tank

Yea thats way overkill. If im understanding correctly. You probably have no head pressure really. Or maybe a foot. You are gonna blast the crap out of every thing unless you dissipate the flow somehow.

Well I finished plumbing it and tested it out with the quiet one 4000. It certainly is a lot of flow but I can also dial it down just wonder if it will damage the pump(long term) if the flow is reduced by half or more.
