I just picked up a small torch last night. It has 2 heads, how long will it take for it to open up? The head is about the size of a quarter, so how long should the tentacles be? Should i hand feed it?

Does not take long to fully open. A day max, depending on your tank levels if the coral is too stress out then it may take longer...Gl!

If your tank parameters are of good quality (lighting, phosphates/nitrates, flow, temperature, salinity, pH, calcium, alkalinity. The list goes on....) the new coral should open up within the same day.

If you'd like to feed the torch, you can use brine shrimp or even smaller foods like coral frenzy.

Do not jam the food into its mouth, but rather gently laying it on top & allowing the coral to take it in.

Shutting off the flow to the tank will help with this. (Yes, that means powerhead a & return pump).
