The more water in the bag, the better chances for a problem-free trip. Make sure you keep the temperature constant. I always use a small Igloo in case of leaks and for insulation purposes. You should have no problems hauling frags from Houston to El Campo.

BTW, I was born in Ganado.

transportation

As most of you know, I live in Lampasas. I have never had a problem with frags that I transported from Houston to my home 4-8 hrs after purchase. recently went to Ft. Worth for family and went by a great LFS. You should see it, the first LFS I have gone to that was 75% SW. Any way, I stayed overnight with the frags and colonies in my igloo and they were just fine the next day when we came home.

Considering corals get packed, transported to the airport(usually not a close drive), pakced onto the airplane, flown to California from the other side of the world, unloaded from the plane then transported to the wholesalers, over the course of 2-3 days, as long as they are packed right you shouldn't have much to worry about. Lots of water in the bags, stable temp, no dropping the bags(fedex likes to though), and keep the bags out of direct sunlight.

Well, I was really worried about the transport today because it was going to be a long day. Kenny came to the rescue. I bought some cleaner guys from him, and was gonna buy some frozen food. He suggested that I buy the frozen food from the last LFS I visited as to not let it go bad. He also took an ice pack from his freezer, and a cooler from his back room and made me a little shipping box to keep everything safe all day while I was running around.

Thanks Kenny for putting sales last and the customers needs first.

I bought some livestock at Kenny's Saturday, but wasn't going home until today. Again, Kenny packed it like Al described. I called him when I left Galveston, and he had it packed and ready to go when I got there, with a little lagniappe, too!

That's what I'm talkin' about!

You're the greatest, Kenny!
