Yep. When I renewed my membership I chose the family option so Kyle would have his own membership card and could have his own user name that would say 'Supporting member'! He is going to be so excited! I am so proud of what having an aquarium has done for him. The changes are amazing. I feel like his potential is limitless for the first time in a long time. The biggest change I have seen is that since being so accepted and supported by this amazing club, for the first time Kyle feels like it is ok to be himself, that having Autism is nothing to be ashamed of and that good people will accept him no matter what.

Thank you MARSH, couldn't do this without you.

I met Kyle a few times and I love this kid.
Watching him observing a tank is amazing, he collects information and the next time around he still remembers it as he refreshed my mind a few times on corals that I used to have in the tank but not any more.
You should bring him to the shop one day.
Thinking about a show and tell for kids at the UA shop one of these days.

Allison, I hope I will get a chance to meet you and Kyle some time. My older brother is autistic, and he was the one who got me interested in aquariums, as well as photography. Hobbies are incredibly important to him. When he was young he was way behind other kids in learning to read, until he decided he wanted to build a model airplane. He wanted my father to read the directions to him, but my father told him he needed to learn to read the directions himself. Before you know it, he was reading better than most kids.
