URGENT! Power's out. (1 Viewer)

My roomate forgot to pay the electric bill and the power been out since noon. How long can my fish and some soft corals survive? I have a 46gal bow. I cant do anything because I'm at work until 7: 30pm. Also, electric company said power will be back on within 24hr. How reliable is that? What should I do if power isnt on by the time I get home? THANK YOU!!!

Get someone to swing by an LFS and get a battery operated air pump and some airstones. It has already been 4 hours, which is a long time to go without oxygen exchange. You also need to find a way to keep the temperature from dropping too low.

After you add the batterpowered air pumps kick your roomates butt for not paying the bill.
Aceademy has the best battery air pumps.

Get you a power inverter for your car and plug everything into that. I have had this problem in the past and this worked.

Dont use an airstone on the air pump let it put out big bubbles and get it as low down as you can. If possable get a battery backup or the inverter adn try and power 1 powerhead

iv herd you get more agitation of the water and better o2 exchange with just doing the big bubbles
