Hello, I am sad to inform that my clownfish died sudenly VERY sudden so I am worried about what or why he died.

He had NO ick and never showed any sickness he was here for 5 days and he has been fine so far, ate good and was always active and very happy he even would rub against me when I would stick fingers in there to replace corals my crab loves to kock off rocks...

Anyway he showed this "spot" on his side it seemed like a cut but I just cant see how or why, it showed just like a cut does underwater the skin around it got all white and then it started looking "bloodfull, bruised" and then today he literaly just suddenly passed.

He was fine, I fed him and while admiring our finally fully opened zoas he started swiming wierd like a drunk man trying to stand up just all over the place with no set direction and then literaly just crashed into the sand twisted two or the times and then stopped moving completely, I waited and waited for anything else, I took him out and he was stiff. gone. :(

Any ideas? can he have gotten hurt somehow or maybe even stung? I recently added a maze brain to my tank and while he is very far from everything the fish is obviously everywhere but I just find it so strange how sudden he died within a day or so.

Any help would be apreciated, thanks.

So this animal was a recent addition of 5 days? Hard to say, but likely either a bacterial infection, Uronema (sudden deaths within 24-48hrs), or Brooklynella.

Yea, I bought it and dropped it in the tank to notice it's scrapped mouth. I got $10 credit about a month later on a $20 clown with no proof of it's death. I thought maybe it would get better.

^^Is that supposed to be funny? ^^

Internal parasites can show up that way. You might consider giving any tank mates some dried food soaked in prazipro. Sorry about your fish.
