Hello all, This is Kenny. Omar will be taking over the salt water department from now on. Omar is a nice guy and won't do you wrong. I love this location and enjoy working here alot but I have to move on. Please continue to support VTF.

I met Omar the other night and talked to him quite a bit about where he wanted to take VTF's saltwater department. I know we'll all miss Kenny, but Omar is a nice guy and I think he will be great to deal with.

Kenny, before you go could you tell me what type of perc we bought from you a few months back. It was tank raised and you picked out the one with the stripes that didn't meet in the middle for us. I think I need to know if it is a true perc or a false to mate it. Right?

Sorry to hear you will be leaving VTF, but best of luck in whatever you do!

As for Omar, I have talked extensively to him several times and he is a great guy. He is really interested in hearing how to improve the SW section for all people and MARSH specifically. So when you stop in VTF, chat with Omar and you'll see the SW section is in good hands.

My wife and I spoke with Omar about two weeks ago trying to figure out what we want in our tank. He really seemed to know what he was talking about and was very patient and helpful. VTF is a great store and it's good to know they will have a knowledgeable person taking over (for an equally knowledgeable person) in this area.

The best thing I like about Omar is he really helped me pick the nicest algae eating Sea Hare. I was not familiar with them.

He explained that the pink ones did not not live long, and the black fuzzy ones might not eat as much algae, but last longer, and I could buy 4 of them to get the job done. If it became too much, having 4, I could use a Dragon Wrasse or eel to eat a few of them.

He also was very helpful to a young man that did not know which SPS frags would grow best under normal flourecent lighting. Omar picked out three beatiful pieces that do not need any light at all. The poor guy had only had his tank up and running for 2 days, he did not know much, so Omar help him pick a lot of nice fish and an anemone, to add to the tank as well.

Yeah this guy is GREAT!

Just kidding Omar! :D
