Hi, my water alk 8.3, cal. 490. I think my cal. are high and alk. a little low I want to bring them up above 9. Currently, I use BRS to dose alk and cal. with same amount for each dose. I heard that alk and cal. much dose same amount to keep them balance is that correct. Can I dose cal. less than amount than I dose alk to bring cal. down or any other option that I can bring my cal. down. Please help. thanks

Great question!
Fyi both # aren't that bad, yes CAL can come down a little but it depends on your consumption from your corals.
If you just have softies in your tank I won't even chase your Alk or Cal.
What is your magnesium level?
Do you know your consumption rate for a day?
