Experienced reefers...how big of a deal is it to get a RO system vs RO/DI system?

Long story short trying to get one for the house and use it for the fish as well.

Also any brands anyone thinks I should stay away from?

Bulk reef supply has The drinking and RO/DI systems. RO/DI is the best way to go for reefing
