A little history on the tank. During the summer of 2017 I upgraded from a 60 cube to this tank. During the fall and winter my tank was on the decline with no real detectable issues. In March of 2018 we moved in town (Houma, LA). I took that opportunity to start over with what was left. In April I started the slow process of rebuilding a tank that had critters. In July I lost my job and found a new one almost immediately in Houston. I came over and started working. About three weeks ago I moved my tank from Houma to our new house in Cypress. It was a rather successful move I lost 1 fish and 2 SPS frags with no broken equipment or hurt people. The tank is up an running and I have restarted the slow rebuild process again. I am planning on getting the rock in over the next few month and moving the chaeto ball to the sump, once I get a light.

This is just a quick snap from my desk chair.

Two questions.

1. how do you post a link of a picture and have it show up?
2. what is a good fuge light? My sump is split and I want one side to house my chateo.

Thanks - Mark

Hey Wazzel - welcome to the neighborhood.

I have good size rocks sitting in a 5G bucket with a powerhead that you're welcome to if you need. Not sure if it fits your intended rockscape, but let me know.

I have a whole lot of zoanthids I would be willing to make a deal to get off my hands. I do not have the time or space to frag them and do not have the space to keep them. I would list them for sale, but I got them as trades and have no idea what they are or how to price them. If this is not the correct way to take care of it please let me know.

Finally got all the hardware to mount the light above the fuge section of my sump. Plan to move the rocks into the tank and chateo ball into the sump at some point today. Yes it is a hydra26, I had it laying around from a small tank I had a while back.

I could probably hang from that light holder and it wouldn't budge an inch haha

Got the rest of the rock in the tank. Not the most artistic pile of rocks, but it will be functional. Tank was still cloudy from the crud I stirred up in the process of moving things around. Going to divest the zoas and other random things I acquired in trades over the past few years. Going to stick with SPS, clams, acans and euphilla, with three odd balls I can not part with my baurbinki, brain and favia. Once I do that the bottom of the tank will clear up a bit. I was able to mount all the frags I had on the rack. Just a few more pieces and I will be set. Going to give the tank another month or two before staring to add fish.

How do you move your clam around? I've never had one, but from what I understand, they attach to whatever they're sitting on, right?

I had to remove the black T. Max from the rock it was on when it was little. Since I started keep them on the bare bottom they have not attached. It could be that I keep them on glass.

Here is the black one when it was little and on a rock in a previous tank, way back in June of 14. I got the Derasa a few moths later and it was about the same size.

Clams will attach to rock with bysmial (SP?) thread that come from glans of the same name near the hinge. You can cut them without harming the clam to move them. Just need to make sure you cut near the anchor point and not near the hinge.

Ugh. Bent wheel in my dosing pump. It jams up when it tries to run. Turned it off and was able to move it over to head three and contacted GHL. Not sure if not in warranty since it was purchased at MCANA last year.
