My dog usually pretty good with doing her business outside however there are rare instances where she'll have an accident. I need to use some sort of pet odor remover please recommend one. There are some available at petsmart but I've never tried any of them.

There is a product that is available on line for sure called
XOXO. Comes in the premixed or concentrate. This is used by many breeders & grooming shops and neutralizes odor not cover up. Concentrate mixed in a spray bottle is the best as we up till a short while ago had an ancient Pug :(

Pour & blot spot with carbonated water for rug/carpet. A spray foam carpet cleaner for pets does ok. Vinegar /water on hard floors

The OXOX is by far the best IMO

Hope it helps. V

I tried the vinegar/water combo but it only masked the odor for several hrs then the smell would return.

Picked up a spray bottle of Odoban, while it did purge the odor for an hour or two the puggent smell return shortly thereafter. Maybe I need to get the concentrated 1 gallon.

Interesting and booooooo. Sorry it didnt work for you. Was the pee on the carpet, if so your going to have to have to deep clean it, especially if it soaked all the way down to the pad. If that is the case your going to have to pour enough on to soak all the way down to try and break up the ammonia in the pad.

I had a cat that didn't use the litter box all the time. I tried a couple things but nothing seemed to help longterm. The best was a solution of water, hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish liquid. You have to thoroughly soak the area with it, but it completely removed the smell. Not sure how similar dog urine is, but might be worth a try.

Unfortunately Pee pee central is on laminated wood floor. I've tried pretty much everything under the sun from steam cleaning, vinegar, Nature Miracle, to baking soda. Most likely I'm going to have to rip up the wood planks and lay down new ones.

The thing about most of the odor removers is you have to keep the area wet for several days so the bacteria in them can work on removing the smell. And it will not work on wood floors to keep the area wet. Sounds like it is time for a new floor.
