Inigomintoya - yes, this reference number was super popular in the 80's... Production stopped for a few years when Rolex introduced the ceramic model. It's my understanding Rolex couldn't perfect the color blue as they did in non ceramic painted submariners.

Well, here it is now, beautiful classic blue from back in the day..

Retail $13400, I just sold this for $10,950

I only have a couple of Tags these days. I wear the Link at work most of the time because it's tougher than nails! The leather banded one (I think it's a calibre/carrera) hardly gets worn because I don't do many social events anymore. I also own a Fossil that I got at wedding for being a groomsman, and a LG G Watch.

I'm moving so everything is packed. No pics... just my word.

I do love a good timepiece though. I sometimes go to garage sales to see if I can score some cool looking pieces, but most folks have wised-up to their hidden gems these days.

Flipside - The best thing about your personal time pieces is, there yours and each timepiece represents something to you. I can remember my FIRST really high end find, Patek Philippe watch from the 50'S.. It was by far the best deal I had ever done. I wish I still had that piece. Oh well. At the time I couldn't afford to own it.. When building a business you cant afford to hold on to anything. The name of the game is (Buy and Sell)..
