I’m looking for some legit, sharp syringes to inject some aiptasia and palys with kalk paste. However, the flat tipped ones that I have don’t pierce the tissue. Anyone know how/where to get a syringe without looking like a crack head?

Case solved: you can buy them at the Walgreen’s pharmacy! Time to go coral stabbin, baby!

Aiptasia will spread like wildfire after you do that - the spores get in the water columns and spread through the tank.

Oh I stabbed a few just to watch them burn. There were a couple big ones that instead of trying to shoot through the mouth, I stabbed straight into the large stalk and pumped them up until kalk paste was shooting out of their mouths :D:D:D

The flame hawkfish is about to come out of the display so peppermint are going in the tank soon and that will knock out the few I have. I'm mostly just going after some Texas trash zoas that are hard to reach. I found it was easier just to pull every rock out and start scraping off palys that I didn't want. That way, I could be sure to scrape the rock off underneath with a scalpel and take the foot with the palys. And of course, this was all done outside with protective gear galore, @frankc . The time I got sick a few weeks ago was a fluke. I'm normally in full blown respirator, long gloves, eye cover, etc. I just didn't realize there were dead palys in the sand/water mixture and got a little whiff. I know for sure that these particular ones I'm getting out are toxic and I prefer to not be sick :)

I used to have guinea pigs and occasionally they had to be treated topically with Ivermectin for mites. Ivermectin comes in glass phials with rubber tops so you have to use a syringe to get the liquid out. I'm not sure about here, but in Hawaii the pharmacy will ask what the syringes were for (we had a pretty bad meth problem) and the reason is logged. I told the tech that I needed them for my guinea pigs and she looked super confused so I explained. After the explanation, she said, "Uh, I'm just gonna write down 'for insulin', ok?"

I've tried to buy them at pharmacies before and they won't let me. I think it depends who you ask. Hard to believe I may look like more of an addict than cody though :ROFLMAO:
