I think I fried my IceCap as I tried to use a 4 bulb (T5's and URI's) combination at 60" each. The max you can use is only 16ft. Anyhow, I am going through a battle trying to wire this baby up and have had no luck. So I thinking that I fried my ballast. More info on my dilema here:

Can anyone point me to someone here locally who I can purchase a new one? Marinedepot has them, but it would 5 days until I get it. If I get it rushed, it would be the same as probably buying one locally. Thanks!

I know John at Global does. Another option is to contact IceCap and get them to fix it. Odds are they can fix it fast, and cheaper than a brand new unit. Im sure you could find someone to loan you one till yours gets fixed if needed.

Fishland had the best price in town, (oops, not a sponsor), last I checked.

Thanks for your help guys.

Global had the best price in town for $170! That is GOOD! I called around and Aquatic Center wanted $250! OUCH! John @ Global was even cheaper than Fish land and they wanted $185. I just bought it :) Im going to send the other one in too for repairs so I can have two and use one for my prop tank. :)

Glad you got the best deal for you. Proves once again that every price is negotiable.

I GOT IT!! ITS WORKING! YEA!! IM so happY!! This was 3 days of frustration if you happened to look at my RC thread! I took Johns (Global) advice and rewired the entire thing replacing everything with new ones including the harness. Oh what a releif! Now i have 2 URI 60" bulbs and one T5 Blue (450nm) 60". This makes a total of 400w of supplemental actinics! :) :)

Now I am thinking that the other IceCap 660 is still good. :)
Thanks again everyone for your help!
