Thanks so much for the advice. I'll dig out the box and $50 a year isn't too bad. If I can get it to work wirelessly I may foot the bill for that and I most definitely will get the extended warranty.

As of Nov they are now giving a years warranty with the console, but 2 would be better.

If you can't find the form that was in the box you can call 1 800 4my xbox

In case you have not heard, Microsoft has extended the warranties to 1yr from the purchase date.
