Hey all,
I just got my RO/DI unit and want to hook it up tonight. I saw both a zinc and bronze Y valve diverter at HD. I am going to hook up the diverter to my cold water input for my washing machine. One side will go to the washer, the other side to my RO/DI unit.
Does it matter which one I use? Should I avoid the bronze one to prevent copper leaching, or will my RO/DI unit take care of that anyway?
I also want to use the RO water as drinking water at some point, would that make a difference? The zinc diverter has some label on it about containing components in the water that cause cancer...thought that was strange.
