I just purchased a yellow tang for my LFS. Hes currently in QT. He has one eye that kind of cloudy and a little milky white color. Does anybody know what this is? And What kind of meds I should treat if any?

It doesnt look like popeye though. His eye is still in equalibrium and bilateral to the other.... I was thinkin it may have been from stress from the move from the LFS (which he was there for about two months) to my QT....I may try and soak my mysis and brine in some vitachem. And if I want to get aggressive I may treat as if it is some sort of bacterial infection. Any suggestion to what antibiotics. I have heard of "Anti-Bacteria" which contains nitrofurazone and sulfa. Anybody use this?

from the provided link, you could try the following solution..

there are really no antibiotics (or other medications, for that matter) that I'd recommend for use in the display tank. You have to assess accurately what you're dealing with here. If it's just one eye that is inflamed- you're probably looking at an injury or other trauma to the eye, and you can remove the fish to a separate aquarium and administer Epsom salt to the water to help reduce the swelling (an old standby). If your fish has both eyes showing this condition, you will need to use medication, such as Maracyn, to treat the condition (always in a separate tank). Keep water quality as high as possible, and monitor the fish carefully.

I currently have the tang in a 10 gal QT. It is just one eye that is cloudy. So what your suggesting is to watch the fish carefully and add no medications correct?

My blue hippo had this twice during his ick attack.
and it healed on it's own. if it can see through the eye, i think you don't have much to worry about, do water changes and keep paramaters in check,
I believe this is a result of stress.

Hes actually doing pretty well. His eye looks alot better. I havent treated the QT with any meds. I just mixed him a variety of flake foods, nori, mysis, and bine shrimp together and soaked it all with some vitachem. His color is looking great and he really tears that food up! Im not seeing any signs of parasites so I will watch him for about two more weeks and then probably place him in the DT.

Well shoot, I healed his cloudy eye....now hes got the black spot disease! Jeez! Luckily hes still in quarantine when I spotted it. So I will try to treat with garlic extreme. I have a few small pepermint shrimp should I throw those in there to see if they will pick his parasites off?

not peps, you need skunk shrimp aka cleaner shrimp. and they only remove dead skin.
if you keep it in quarantine too long, you will stress him more.
