Yea that's probably it. I wish there was a disclaimer. At least I can get the word out to check your Alk before hand and not to freak out.

Coral snow does not raise the Alk level any real measurable amount.

i would have to say... no. I have lost quite a bit of sps corals. Some due to my negligence, and some just because trying out the new system, and working out all the kinks.

The dosing part is not that bad. I have a doser that does the tedious job of dosing twice a day. I just suppliment once a day... takes about 5 mins. I check all my lines and make sure no trouble is brewing.

I am enjoying having a fairly clean tank. Feeding without worrying about nutrient levels jumping up. My sps have not enjoyed the ride so far though. Right now the answer is no. But most people say it takes about 6 months for the system to really start taking off so... asking me again in 5 months.

I finally was able to set up my frag tank. So I moved almost everything not mounted into the frag tank.

I then wanted to see how good my filtration was without the del it reactor. So I turned it off for a few days.... Algae explosion. So I took the time to redo the ado it reactor. Added new zeolith.... Readjusted my flow rate thru the reactor. It fills up a gallon container in 105 secs, u had it set before but seems like the flow rate dropped.

Started the zeovit back up and everything looks good this time. I've been supplementing and added coral vitalizer with good results. I picked up a few sps from Lesd at the frag swap.... And they are doing absolutely awesome.

Tank had been on cruise control ever since. I follow my dozing regime. Takes 1-2 mins a day. I use my doser to dose the zeostart, but everything else is easy. Starting to see colors pop back up on some of the corals.
