OK RED ALERT-I need help
I'm having some sort of problem with my zoa's-I suspect a predator of some type. I have noted all in the same lower area of my tank.

1st-last 6 weeks I have noticed my zoas receeding. first not opening and then withering away. I cannot see any bugs but just in case did a lugols dip (Nothing in the solution-found in dip) and while none of my zoa colony really came back it did stop on that 1 rock.
Then on trumpet coral I noted 1 side receding-moved up closer to light seems to be stable. Had been in the same location for over a year and growing well.
Another zoa colony receeding-did Lugol dip and moved to quarantine tank-Never recovered.

All parameters are stable and usually zoa's do fantastic in my Nano that has been established over a year.
Yesterday I noticed-little white worms poking up through the sand. Not spagetti worms (looked those up) but I have alot of tiny feather duster worms too and they look like those except no hard casing.
They are also poking up in the lower rocks move ever so wiggly slow and kinda jerky.
Today, my green zoa's are all closed up!!!! only 1 was open.
I did a quick fresh water dip and saw some tiny round bugs but extremely small. Had to use a magnifying glass.
Haven't added anything new to my tank in a long time.
Do, weekly water changes.

Someone please offer some suggestion before whatever it is can/could be gets up to my Eagle eye colony.
Last six weeks I've lost approx. 8-12 inches of zoa colonies. Nothing to really take a picture of even if I had a camera.

 :? :-x

I had a similar problem and started dosing Vit C.

They seemed to come back and stopped closing up on me. I still lost a few small colonies before the problem went away.

Look up some of the threads on Vit C dosing.

Good luck
