Well, its been a few days, and things are looking better. Im not out of the woods, but it looks like the die-off has stopped (Hopefully). I am not seeing any more of the polyps turning brown and wilting away.
I still have a few that are not opening up, but more are open now than a few days ago. I also relocated three colonies to an area with pretty high flow. These colonies are looking the best, however, one of them is closing up randomly which makes me think pest. This colony is different than the ones in the picture and has had no die-off only irritation.
I did not do the FW dip. I wanted to wait to see is the Iodine would work. Since it seems to have helped out do you all think that I can rule out pests, or do you think that this is what is making the other colony close up? Possibly I have two Problems?
I was thinking it must have been or is a bacterial infection of some sort, possible something to do with the "Green Stuff" that was growing between the polyps. Although this "Green Stuff" is still there.
I noticed as the polyps died they looked like they were covered in a thin film of brown - almost slime. It made me think of the red Cyano bacteria you see sometimes, red algae. It was similar, but brown not red.
All my parameters are still good. I backed off on the Vit C and Zoe because I was getting large brown algae blooms on my sand bed and glass.
