Has anyone tested the results against hobby grade test kits? I was thinking of doing a mini experiment of running my hobby grade test kits for the trace elements + kh mg ca etc, tracking them on my spreadsheet and then comparing the results. I wonder if it will give me a better idea of where the parameters actually lie.

How long did it take you to get your results after you sent in your sample?

I sent it Monday via FedEx 2 day shipping and got my results end of Friday. Cody said he used a different ship method and got the same results. May want to ask him for details.

Here were my results. Everything looking good on my front. Added a little strontium today to get my tank back up to where it needs to be.

Got my results..
It flagged Silver, Iodine, and Bromine as being low. But I noticed that even though they weren't flagged, my Calcium and Magnesium were also lower than what I prefer.

Even though they weren't flagged, I still had measurable amounts of Chlorine, Copper, Aluminum and a few others. So which elements should folks be concerned about and which shld just be watched. Which battles do you fight in order to win the war for a healthy and thriving tank?

What did everyone use to ship the test? USPS, Fed EX, or UPS? How much did it cost to ship the test to Colorado? First time to run test so not sure best way to ship.

Thanks

Just go to the post office and send it. It costs $3.50, and you get your results just the same as express delivery, it seems. I sent mine on a Monday and got results by Friday.

Also, mittens just sent off another test kit, and it seems their website isn't currently keeping previous tests on record. Make sure to screen shot your results, write them down, etc.

I specifically told Gregg not to sell you any test kits until you give me a few frags of those nice corals that you have :)
