Mastertronic is releasing a newer model called the Mastertronic Essential.
Forgo's the previous needles and uses a drop counter. I sold my mastertronic...very finicky piece of equipment. when it worked it was great. When it didnt, it sucked.
The parameters covered look good: alkalinity...
Wave engine if you want the functionality to have different flow pattern profiles .....you can use a xp8 outlet or wireless strip outlet to do on/off. They just added Sicce as one of the pumps supported.
look up populargrow for supplemental light bars, quanta substitute. they'll work with you, mix and match LED colors.
ordered in Dec 22.....very well built, has bluetooth so i can ramp up and down thru app.
Paid 165 shipped, 2x 48" bars...
Most fish sleep at night, you can go up to most and just touch them. Predators are feeding on the reef at night.
Its pitch pitch pitch dark. Dual strobes + torches light up the water. Without dive lights, you cant see 1" in front of your face.
i dont understand the concept behind moonlights. Every single night dive i have ever been on has been pitch pitch black and sketchy AF. there is zero light transmission. total black out even in the shallows 15'
night dive pics for fun
Yeah....its a bit dangerous...if it ever dumps the whole feeder, no beuno. i did that (maybe 1/4 full) doing setup on the controller...maybe shouldnt have polished off the 4th glass of wine while doing so. didnt kill anything but lesson learned. I have it set on 15 second run time every 3...
i made my own insert, peninsula setup using 2 glass identical curved shelves, siliconed airtight together. end goal was swim thru for 90% of the tank, flow thru and sleeping space. roughly 2" square footprint for sandbed support
i'd stay away from the sky's personally based in the initial teardown they did.....just a CC knockoff thats fan cooled. based on your list, the radions would be top pick based on userbase feedback. as far as being controller compatible....i'd move that down the priority list as you can always...
BRS is FOS....look at what the commercial guys are doing.......WWC, TCK, Battle, FHC. No ones running maxpect. BRS used to be good, now a corporate shill. I like Philips coralcare personally.... but seen some darn good growth under the Echotechs, Radions etc.
Man, TBH....looks like ur spending $ to spend it, F'it YOLO.....best of luck with the build....gonna check in! For the lighting, you might be migrating elsewhere down the road.
i like ADG's model. they put the date arrive on the tanks.....esp helps with selecting Chromis, some reassurances, not unpacked yesterday....been soaking awhile. there prices seem competitive too for chromis.
understood, early release, good behavior and all....answer your Q- meh, i think these all in ones are overpriced. get the tank you want, dimension wise..drill it yourself to accommodate your liking, build the sump out how you want......with the AIO's nothings really customizable.....kinda get...
