I am so thankful that we have not lost power. I have a generator but have still been on edge about losing power and managing the heat and my 5 tanks. I hope you all get power back soon and have no losses.
It's sort of a public well. Quadvest is our water provider, but one of their pumping stations is on our property. Normally when the power goes out, I can hear a generator kick in, but apparently it's not working, and the main unit did not come back on when the power was restored. Apparently it uses an air compressor to provide the pressure for water delivery. Sometimes they get the ratio wrong and we get more air than water out of the faucet, and occasionally we have a day with nasty brown water or cloudy water. I do miss the highly reliable water supply of The Woodlands.
Well, be careful what you wish for. We finally got water again, only to find it pouring from the ceiling in the master bedroom closet, and the outside faucet where the water line enters the house. So, off to the woods in the dark and snow to find the main shutoff valve, which of course was filled with ice-cold water. Then to call a plumber first thing in the morning - I'm sure we'll be the only ones so we'll get quick service. haha
Ok so sorry to have posted that again in the same thread lol, my original plan to hook the Jenny to the furnace worked great house is 72 degrees...with a 6500 I’m running my fridge, the neighbors fridge, my furnace, my 3 tanks, a tv, a PlayStation and some chargers lol.
