After 12 years I have to say good bye. Ive always been respectful I almost never posted anything for sale ,95% times on the buying side the few people that know me know i keep it as respectful as anyone can be. ive notice that the interaction has been on the decline for many years,never stopped and thought why, well now i know. There is absolutely no pros on joining marsh. Because when you do try to use the equipment you get 0 responses ive filled the proper paper work twice and still nothing. So if after 12+ years the mods arent respectful enough to send you a message saying it be a month 2 ,or 3. then they really dont care but they sure do enjoy the yearly dues. It really is a shame that this place has become this bad .

I tried to borrow the PAR meter since august 11. if they werent available it wouod be fine with me but no one even bothered to try to contact me.

Have to disagree as well. Before I was a moderator, I used the par meter about 6 times and always got a response when I messaged the correct staff member according to the par meter post.

It’s nice that y’all get answers and y’all can disagree. Even if I’m not fully engaged in the discussions , I supported the local Club for this long . If in this time the only thing I have asked for is to borrow the par meter (which is part of the membership)and I cannot even get a No then .The decision was made for me. .

However I have been checking mail and don’t recall seeing one for you. I did clean up mail in early August and may have removed it by accident.

I can explain what happen.....

during the first couple of weeks in August, JotForm our form provider had blacklisted yahoo and aol. Since the member had an email from one of those email providers it’s possible the request was never received. That issue has since been resolved.

To be clear, all supporting members are entitled to borrow the par meter anytime they would like. In most cases it is readily available. If for some reason you find it difficult to get the par meter or do not receive a response after requesting it, please reach out to a BOD member directly. If we don’t have enough par meters we will get more.

Did you try to reach out to other BOD members or post (just like this) on the board. It is a possibility that the person was busy at the time, but most BOD’s check their PM’s excluding Cody.

I personally dont remember seeing any request but since I dont handle the par meter may have not noticed it. The new one seems to think we
get some personal benefit by being on the board and that we get the money. The fact is its just the opposite. Examples when we work reef currents
all volunteers get s shirt or other gifts as thanks. where the board works 30 to a 100 hrs and we get nothing. Just like bingo night we were not allowed to
win prizes even though some spent dozens of hours setting it up. We all have lives too so a little bit more understanding will go a long way.

I know I'm a couple days late to this conversation but there's a par meter thread on the main forum page. You fill out the form and then someone contacts you. I think you get an automated email when the form goes through as well.
