Since you are not putting water in it real soon, you might talk to mike13oy about having his brother make you a metal brace to replace that big glass brace. I know several guys on here have replaced theirs and are happy with it. Just something else to consider.

I thought about that, just couldn't remember who was making them. Thanks.

Do you know where I can find a pic of the brace? I work with metal all day and have a welder 5 feet from me all day that I use.

Tank is now put together and sealed, going to maybe start filling it tomorrow to see if it's going to leak. Just used the normal center brace, will only have T5's above it and MH on the sides.

Ditto. Depending on how thick the seams are, I would wait at least that long. Better safe than sorry, I say.

ok, I'll wait atleast a week. The seams are thinner than I thought they'd be. 1/4" out from the corners. Thats why I went ahead and put the center brace back in.

I say wait at least 2 weeks before you put water in it.

My previous tank which was 3/4" thick glass and bottom braced on all sides, I was told to wait two weeks for it to cure completely. So be patient. :)
