No idea. I use regular IO as well. I bought some of the reef crystals. Just plan on mixing the 2 together.

It "Should be"....

Alk 13 - Mag 1440 - Cal 490

I get some weird numbers. I just like the higher Cal and Mag. Wish the Alk was like 8.0 - 8.5

I just drop the Alk with Seachem Acid Buffer.

By the way... 1 tsp of the above buffer will drop your dKH about 0.25 to 0.40 for about 40/G.

Don't immediately do a water change. Check pH first.

You'll need to blow the CO2 off with airstone or let it aerate with lid off for a few hours. pH might drop as low as 7.50 but CO2 will blow off with airstone in 2 hrs and pH will climb back to 8.0 to 8.2

My buddy used Muratic Acid the other day and waaaaaaay over shot it. His pH was like low 6's. He was able to blow it off in 2 hrs by putting the airstone on the pump intake and bubble scrub. lol
