This will make you happy and isn't that much more than the light you posted. Plus a couple of the LFS's around here carry the TEK

Oh, and it really all depends on how much you want to spend on peicing one together or buying a cube.

I have the 12g jbj and love it but am piecing together a 40 breeder.

wow, thanks! I really want a cube, just cause its bigger (and cleaner lookin) but i promised the husband I would shop around and see which one came out cheaper to build. I worry about tall tanks so the 20G long was my best thought, considering I can only work with >30gallons and have been out of the SW hobby for about 6/7 years LOL! /goes back to diggin through research LOL!

ps-I cant for the life of me find this thread I saw about how to mod a AC 70, so If anyone has seen it lemme know! ;3

Why only 30 gallons? Google a 30 gallon breeder, you might be happy.

Also look at cadlights AIO's. They are sweet. My buddy just bought a 29g oceanic biocube and it's a nice tank. JBJ has a 28g cube with metal halide lighting.

I hear ya, I have a 75g in the shed and no where for it. Thats why Im doing the 40 breeder, it's only 36" long. I will have to move the 12g to a different spot and slide the couch down a few inches but damn it, Ima make it fit. Lol

What space are you dealing with? Maybe I can help find a tank. I've been tank shopping for a couple months now.

well not sure how deep, but I KNOW i have 32" long. Just a guesstimate, Id have about 15-17" deep.

My other placement option I could have 25"long and 15" deep.

Im trying to get it peiced right, at the lowest price possible. I dont wanna go like overboard for stuff I know Ill never grow or try (ie high demanding corals and macros)

I saw a really cool new nano at T&T the other day I cant remember the brand but it was a 28 gal and it had LED lighting the lighting in the tank was absolutely gorgeous. Lunar lights, blue and white. The best part was it was only $600 for the tank and stand. You should at least check it out and even if it costs a little more you will have no extra power bill from the lighting.

I would probably go buy one myself but I am in the process of setting up this 120 and my better half would probably leave if I did bought that right now.

I would but I already have one of those sittin in the garage waiting to be hooked up. I am really excited about the LED lights though. I have been a big fan of them since they came out and I almost bought a 72" fixture one day for my old 180 but I had just bought a 14 bulb 72" inch T-5 fixture the week before so i passed it up. I really believe that the LED systems will become the popular lighting choice for reef tanks in the next 10 years, its just a matter of companies producing them so there is some competition and the prices come down. They would really open this hobby up to more people because they would drop the price of electricity significantly (no chiller and no expensive lighting bills) and you would not have to put up the initial money for the chiller.

I would LOVE LED lighting, but thats a bit more than I wanted to spend. Good thing is, is that the JBJs can be upgraded later on down the line....I liked that! LOL!
