24 or 36 t5 fixture for 36" long rimless (1 Viewer)

setting up a new 36" long rimless tank for which i will predominately grow lps coral. it will be in my living room and want it to look very simple and clean. should i go with a 24 or 36" t5 fixture? i dont want any dark spots in the tank. thanks for the help

I agree with reefahholic. You will have dim spots at the edges if you go 24"

Definitely 36" if you don't want any low light areas.

I prefer the smaller light fixture. 24" should work fine and you can place low light corals on each side.

Or you can get 2 of these- dimmable 165/W full spectrum LED fixtures for about $200 with tax and shipped and call it a day.

Type that into ebay. It will light the 36" no problem.

thanks guys, those leds look good but im not completely sold on them. ive always had
real good luck with t5s. im going to go with a 36" fixture
