@mitchell77546 you want in on this group buy thing?

I can organize it from here I think. we got 4 people in so far. Mitch would make 5. Gotta work on the logistics of how we gonna distribute since we're all spread out fairly fair.

I might just make sense for me to ship it to yall for a small fee. Pirate ship has been pretty good to me so far. I don't see it costing more than 4-5 dollars per person if shipping is what we wanna do.

It can't be more than $5 to just mail them out to everyone?

Jonas from ABC responded to my email quickly. It appears to me FedEx have the boxes upside down for most of the trip which caused some leakage. After rinsing them all off and drying them it appears several bottles leaked into the box, but not completely emptying the bottles. One box was so wet the corner broke through. Jonas was very generous and offered me a complete replacement even though it’s only a few bottles that leaked through. Great customer service.

ABC is gtg with me. Order with confidence.

ps this was a 6mo kit which came in two boxes.

What does the price of DIY look like compared to the ABC brand? What kind of shelf life do these guys have after mixing it up?
From what I saw on poor man’s reef on Instagram. He’s claiming 1yr shelf without the preservative. I haven’t found the recipe for the B&C as of yet. I’m pretty sure that this guy is in with ABC reagents and they agreed not to release the recipe for B&C. I figure on configuring trident to run only alk since the Cal and MAG don’t need testing very often. I’ll be running apex through my desk top so I can copy and paste configuration from word when I fell like I need to run cal and mag testing. If I remember right I can make a gallon of ALk reagent for $30. I could be off on that, I’ll need to check the receipt from lab alley

If you're going to run the route of not worrying about Ca or Mg then at least put DI water in the containers. Don't let those tubes set without flow for too long or they might clog up and cause problems.

Also, I find it funny that the company that's copying the original has tried to prevent other people from copying their product haha

Definitely food for thought. I have had the machine completely town down less removing the main board. There isn't really much to it i was surprised that it uses solenoids to control the flow of liquids and reversing the polarity of the peristaltic pump. I wish they had used a less noisy driver for the stepper motor. My 3D printer is less noisy....

Yeah, I've gutted mine as well before. They're really mostly empty inside.

Anyone using that concentrate mix? Does it seem as effective after a few months sitting on the shelf? I'm curious of the shelf life still.
