Ya, now that I know you want to grow all those macros and not just cheato, I think you should use high powered reef lighting.
Either LED or T5. Treat it like coral.
I appreciate the help I don't have a problem growing it just wanted to see what everyone was using to get some ideas. I like to build things and do things none traditional. Inspiration comes from everywhere just looking for the next thing to catch my eye. So what do you have under your tank?

I had a 150w HPS growlight over my fuge in my garage and it was nothing but chaeto. I'd remove a full 3g bucket every month.

When I had a display fuge I was using a radion.

That's awesome you make me feel ashamed of mine. This is stuff that I collect down here mostly for the bugs and so the bugs have food. I can't afford any of those expensive leds and refuse to pay for them when i can build them for at least half the cost. But hats off to the tank great job.

Ya, i just happened to have it laying around. It was an old gen 1 unit.
A cheap eBay black box would most likely do the same thing... or a diy.

Looks good. I see you have your new sump, that's going on the frag tank right? I like the way you did you filter socks i was just looking at one like that the other day. I am probably going to redo my filtration here soon or add on to it.

Yeah, that's actually for another reefer. He bought my glass for the baffles and I built one for him too. Mine is under the stand. If you look in the top LT corner, you can see the stand with the sump under it.
