A good gun range in the 290 area (1 Viewer)

OK cool. I'm thinking an indoor range since its so cold out. Unless we have a nice 65°+ day. Anyone have a favorite range they would want to go to? Mine are all up here in the Conroe area. Not sure y'all want to drive that far. LOL

Looks like JV is ruling this thread for a change. By the way, I have been to Mulligans (the golf range/par 3 course) and in their "gun shop". It was a cubicle sized room with 20 people in it trying to look in one case. I turned around after five minutes, didn't see any other buildings that looked like a range though.

Maybe we could have some weather to hit Hot Springs or try something different - Memorial wasn't very big. Don't know how big Athena is. BTW - thanks Mark picked up a brick of .22 at gander this weekend.

Gun Shop and Golf Range - my bad, dont know why I didnt catch that.

I personally cant stand the outdoor range on 290. You have to wait for range safety to switch out your targets plus they charge per firearm.

Indoor Ranges are much more enjoyable.

If you have never shot a hand gun I have a 9mm Sig P229 with internal laser. I have made sharpshooters with this piece. Very gentle and lethal.

I'm good with any temp really. I've heard a lot of people don't like the gun range on 290 (Hotwells) Let's not go there. Not sure I can make it this week so we will have to plan on sometime between Christmas and New Years. I'm busy getting everything ready for the MARSH party at my house.

I went to American Shooting Center this morning. 300 rounds of 38, 50 rounds of .357 mag, 500 rounds of .40 and 500 rounds of .45. My hands and shoulder are killing me! Had a lot of fun though.

I'm going to apologize again to everyone! Sheesh I was on vacation for 24 days and never went shooting once!! I thought for sure I'd have all kinds of spare time. Nope, every time I turned around my family had plans for the day LOL! Oh well, I had a great vacation with them anyway. I'm back at work now and my schedule is back on track. Let's see what's going on over the next couple weekends and I'll make a thread dedicated to a MARSH range trip.

Up in the air (kinda) right now. I wanted the howa, no one seems to have any in stock this year. I have settled for a ruger, price did in a sense play a factor. I have never owned a .308 and did not want to go crazy and then not like it, plus the barrel is threaded for a suppressor already.

That would be a nice rifle for sure. I have a Remington 700 sps tactical aac-sd. I love it and it shoots great.

There's tactical firearms in George bush park. It's not along 290 but it's new and everyone I've talked to loves it. It's on Westheimer I believe.
