I wanted to get some custom Acrylic build that is about a 10 to 12 gallon project. Does anyone know a good place in Houston to get the work done? I would really like to do the work with some, so I could learn a new skill. I know that it is tricky work and would need some one that has experience in Acrylic. If anyone here would like to earn some cash and teach some on let me know. Thanks,
Darin

@Cody is your go to lol
I don't do commissioned acrylic work anymore for anyone that's not my myself or close friends, and I don't charge them. I just do it as a gift. The amount of time, labor, and skill involved ends up costing me more than what anyone is willing to pay, so I just don't do them. I don't blame the customers, because I know times are tough, and prices are steep, but it's just not worth my time. The original poster is better off reaching out to a manufacturing shop that can possibly make it cost effective.

Having said that, @KTXreef if you'd like to learn then I can teach you as best I can on how to build this project yourself, which would be really cool!

I have the acrylic panels already, but I would cut them down to fit. Would you still be interested to help? I tried building it once, but the back panel blew out after 14 hours of testing it. I would love to build me a little bit bigger that a 40b for my inside display.

Are we talking a sump? What dimensions? How thick is the acrylic? I'd gladly coach you.

No it would be a display, 1/2 thick, and I’m not sure on dimensions yet.

Well, let me know, because you need to use a calculator to make sure the acrylic is thick enough, and the dimensions are what decide that.
