Hello one and all. My names Alec, I've been trolling around on here for a long time, so I figured it was time to add my own progress thread!
Anyways I've been salty for about 3 years now, after having freshwater tanks growing up as a kid. Right now my main display tank is a 40 breeder
Specs: I have a Chinese 250w 4-bulb T5 fixture run with a 14k Phoenix bulb. The tank doesn't have a sump.. I set it up with a canister filter when I was still a noob.. But I've never had any water chemistry problems.. If it ain't broke don't fix it right? Other than that I have 2 korailas anddd a heater haha.
The tanks finally starting to come around again.. This passed summer I was losing my sps corals and I didn't know why for the longest time. I tried everything I could concerning my water quality.. Thinking that was the problem. No visible pests or bite marks. Then one day trolling the web I figured it out.. Predatory starfish. Asterina anomala. Damn near took out all of my sps, but everything's bounced back nicely and I've replaced what id lost.
I'm trying to upload pics from my iPhone and they don't seem to be working, so I'll try again from my computer in a bit!!
