so this is our seahorse tank. Doing very well. Won it during thhe Marsh Bus tour. (When is the next one?) BUT been battling this algae. I think it is hair algae. Can anyone confirm and recommend a good eater that is seahorse friendly. Kinda brown green and slimy. No bubbles so I don't think it is dino.

It can be hard to tell hair algae from Bryopsis until it gets bigger and you can see the branches and "feathery" look if it's Bryopsis. I haven't seen anything eat Bryopsis. I can't tell if the sea fan is alive or not, but if it is, it won't be for long with the algae on it. You might consider using Fluconazole to get rid of it.

Looks like good ole fashioned hair algae to me.

As far as the bus tour, trust me, MARSH would love to have another one ASAP. We are just being cautious about the virus, waiting, and playing by ear. It was a blast! However, we don’t want to risk harming any of our members due to a social event.

They are dead sea fans I bought online as hitching posts for the mustangs.
