So I found a mini-maxi half way through the screen of one of my overflows. I moved the entire screen to the gravel bed in hopes that he'll work his way out on his own now that there isn't any suction. Other than trying to cut him out, is there anything else I should be doing?

Apparently, he had it under control. I woke up, and he had moved on. That's him off to the side on the gravel.

It's crazy to think that he got more than half of his body through a hole that is 1/8"x1/8". He's about three inches across when he's open. I guess that's one of the perks of not having a spine!
