My anthelia seems to be looking well, all "out" and "fluffy", even spreading in the past couple of weeks onto another rock. But now it's shedding a few pieces at its base, and I'm finding those pieces around the tank, some of which my zoas are trying to eat. The pieces in and of themselves even look okay, open and all that. Is this a sign of doom, or perhaps maybe a form of reproduction, or maybe something else entirely?

This is how it propogates. Xenia does the same thing from time to time.

You'll be weeding it out and throwing it away in six months... it can become very annoying when it grows EVERYWHERE.
