Thought I would check to see if anyone has a decent scraper for coralline that they would recommend. I use a Mag Float currently, but my coralline growth has really taken off and it's getting to be a pain to keep it off the front and sides. I also have a little plastic thing that holds disposable razor blades, but have to get my arm all the way into the tank (24" deep 90g) to reach the bottom. I've seen the 24" Kent Pro Scraper for a reasonable price, but don't have any experience with it. Tank is glass btw.

Suggestions?

Re: Kent scraper - do you have to use the steel blade for coralline? Do they hold up pretty well?

I did look at the mag flip scraper, but noticed it had mixed reviews, especially against coralline. The Mag Float I have works well on basic surface algae, and even small dots of coralline, but my problem is that once the coralline gets established it doesn't work too well.

I use a 36" kent scraper which is also great for the back wall.

I glue a easy blade with their razor to my mag float. U can edge it to the silicone. Works awesome for coralline.

Hey I use a pet smart white plastic scraper with metal blade. I use a felt magnet almost daily for the front. I also have a big long spine urchant and lots of snails to help keep my aquarium clean. Jim
