I have a few questions on the recipe.

What exactly is "a whole fresh sea fish" and where do i get one.

What exactly is "about 2 g. powdered sea greens/antioxidants or immune boost complex" and where do i get it.

VibraGro and where do i get it.
powdered spirulina and where do i get it.
Super Selco and where do i get it.

Thanks

I've never made it but the fish part, just means a fresh fish of any kind. You get it at the store :)

If I am not mistaken, you can buy all of the ingredients at local fish stores, the oriental markets and at health food stores. Oriental markets would have the fish, nori and roe, the fish stores would have the vibraglo, powdered spirulina and super selco and the anti oxidant mix from teh health food stores.
Hope that helps,
cyn

You can get selcon from LFS, SuperSelco is a highly conecntrated version and must be ordered online, but you can substitue Selcon for it.

If anyone can find Super-Selco for purchase online please send me the link. I looked all over for it when my wife decided that she was gonna make a batch of the borneman recipe. The very few places I found that had it only sell to fish hatcheries/universities/public aquariums/etc...
I did finally find one place that supposedly would sell it to me, but only by the case, and it would have been well over $100.

My wife ordered several of the ingredients from www.brineshrimpdirect.com BTW.

Thanks,

Brian

I think im going to try to make a batch of this. Can someone explain to me what I need to put in the fish food after its made to liquify it? Does that just mean water?

Just for clarification, what truely is meant by this is a fresh marine fish....not freshwater fish. Salmon is very good, as is tuna, red fish,...etc. I would stay away from fish like catfish and trout.

You can find dried nori at your local supermarket. These come in sheets that you would have to shred/powder for use in this. At most asian markets, though, you can find several nori/seaweed products that are already shredded and easier to use in your mix.

I am still looking for a site that sells SuperSelco. As soon as I find it, I will post it.

6 types of dried seaweed Nori, Wakame, Hijiki, Dulse, Ano, etc.) - available at Whole Foods market, health food stores, Asian markets.
about 2 g. powdered sea greens/antioxidants or immune boost complex

Does the powdered sea greens take the place of the dried seaweed?

The sea Urchin cubes, are those the ones that are made for feeding trigger fishes?

SuperSelco- http://www.aquaculture-supply.com/ on page 22 of their catalog

http://www.miami-aquaculture.com/artemia.htm Don't know if they sell by bottle or only by case.

Here is another alternative http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2371425845&category=20759

You can use Selco or Selcon instead of Super Selco. They are almost the same thing as Super Selco, just not as concentrated. Selco and Selcon are the same thing, except one is designed to mix better with water(Selcon I think).

The powdered sea greens is different than the dried seaweed.

Sea urchin cubes are the ones made by Ocean Nutrition in frozen blocks. You can get those at many LFS.

DaAznGuy,
Did you ever have a chance to make some of the food? If so would you be interested in selling me a flat or 2 of it?

$90 per bottle of Super Selco?!?!?!? I think that I will just continue buying Selcon at the local stores.
