thanks,

im definately cutting and pasting a couple of these.

i want to have my skimmer turn off if my main pump is off so it doesnt overflow when my level rises in my sump.

i know this sounds trivial, but its kicking my butt getting the language right, coupled with lack of time the last two days.

You could create a profile for that, or more simply plug them both into the same outlet. Thats actually how I have mine. Saves you space on an outlet as well.

I usually had a delay on my skimmer if the power went out. Because after turning off the return pump the water level in my sump always grew 2-3 inches. This caused my skimmer to overflow.

Travis,
Im gonna start a thread in equipment to catalog programs. I hope you don't mind me sticking them in there.

D a m n,
i hate when i miss the obvious. cant think of a single scenario when you would need to run your skimmer w/o your main pump. now what to do with the freed up outlet, muh ha ha ha.

Haha, I have had plenty of those with the apex. There is so much that can be done with this thing. I havent even used, yet, any delays, defers, DOW. I plan on getting auto feeder, water on floor sensor, wiring my ato float switch to apex, wxm, auto water change, room temp, salinity monitor/adjust, change my car oil, sweep the floor, mow the yard, ok well maybe some of those are a stretch. lol

Apex Programs

This is my setup so far. Pretty basic since I've been so busy. I figured out my lights and that's about it. It would be cool if we could have an Apex forum. Then each thread could be dedicated to a specific type of equipment. Lighting, Dosing pumps, Heaters, Protein Skimmers, etc. It would be an easy way too keep track of all the different programs people come up with for the given equipment. Just a thought.

In the meantime, you could add something to the subject line. This would help when doing searches to find it later.

Good call. I just edited mine to add "Apex Programs" since it's a list of all of mine.

i've been lazy about the apex thread. I'll work on it tonight at work.

What do you guys think? Should I break it down to the users or should i break it down to the actual components? Like ato, lights, blah blah blah.

I'd say by component. After some time we will end up with multiple programs for each component since everyone may want something a little different to suit their tank.

Alk Dosing pump

Had to update my alk dosing pump due to the higher temps causing higher pH. So here is another option.

Fallback OFF
OSC 000:00/011:35/048:25 Then ON
If pH > 08.50 Then OFF
If Time 13:00 to 21:00 Then OFF

Dang it. I need to spread my dosing over a few hour period using the OSC command. I'm just dripping for 30 minutes straight. I keep forgetting. I could do 3 minutes an hour for 10 hours. Say 9pm - 7am.
