While trying to change media i soaked my raspberry pi controller and its now dead. i sucked it up and bought an apex. I thought i bought the one with the wav powerheads but i didn't. So now i either need to buy an additional energy bar or trade in my mp10 and gyre for 2 for the wav powerheads. Thoughts on it?

im confused, why do you need a new energy bar... is your filled? and if so, is it filled with things that need to be turned on and off at certain times or are some of them running 24/7 like your gfo or carbon? my point is, do you really need the energy bar to power all your devices or can some of those things be plugged into a power strip. why cant you plug in your mp10 and gyre into a power strip?

as far as the apex wave powerheads... thats the one thing apex i dont have, i use 2 gyres.. but neither of them is plugged into my apex.

All the Apex energy bar832s have 3 of the 24v ports for WAV pumps. I ran 3 of them on my energy bar for a year and a half. Though I have heard people say that you cannot run that many without the WAV module because it will overload those ports.

As for WAV pump I would NOT RECOMMEND them! I ran them for 1.5 years and 2 out of the 3 died. I got one of them working again but it is not going to live long and is very weak. I cleaned them before they went to storage. There is a huge post on r2r about people complaining that their WAV pumps die almost immediately after the 1 year warranty is up. Neptune offers discounts for new ones but I am not buying another one! It is not worth the hassle.

i have some kasa wifi power strips with 12 plugs that are filled. apex only has 8 plugs. i guess i really dont need another energy bar just was looking at keep everything on one system.

i guess if i put my hyrda 52, fuge light and 2 powrrheads on the kasa and put everything critical on the apex that would work.

good talk, uve helped me see the error of my ways. :)

Stick to your MP and Gyre. I have all apex except wave pumps after seeing the complaints about them on Neptune community forum I did not buy them.
