Hey,

Sorry if someone posted it elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

I have a 60 gallon cube tank that's running mostly LPS with some softies in it.

I bought this light mostly to being on a budget and its entertaining to try out different stuff.

Anyone else use this light? Anyone else thoughts on it?

Its using about 3 watts a bulb, 165 total, and I am just curious if someone could suggest two things:
How high above the water should this light be placed?
What intensity should I be running the lights at? Full blast is definitely too much but Im not sure what I really should be running it at.

Any thoughts on those questions or just the light itself is appreciated!

Looks similar to the reefradiance, reefbreeders, evergrow type fixtures. I use a reefbreeders over a 24x24 frag tank. They are decent fixtures.

I agree with Steve, they are decent fixtures. I have one reef breeder value fixture with 120 degree optics. I have it mounted in a canopy about 18" above the water surface. I have my blue channel at %100 percent now and my full spec at about %50. I keep SPS corals so the intensity is high. For your tank I would start with both channels at or about %10. I would increase only to %50 for each over a couple of weeks. LEDS put out a lot of PAR.

Ok, thanks. I figured even 50 would be close to frying these corals. Ill lower it down some more, crank it up slowly over a few weeks and see what happens. Thanks! The lights do look good though.

One of the benefits of paid membership is having the club PAR meter available to you. I run 100% on blues and 15% on the white channel. Also have 3 rows of 90° optics (directly over my SPS frags) and left the two rows of LED's towards the front at 120°.
