As a guy who lives his life in numbers - forward thinking artistic design is not in my mindset "it seams my wife has know this awhile :)"
I always hated the "wall" of rock in a reef tank - but for some reason every time I aquscape a new tank my plan is to not make "the wall". Then I finish - look back at the tank and admire " F#%^ wall" of rock I said I would never build. I alway happens to me. I am just a right angle guy.
I started building my wife's 50g and she was wearing me out about how the aquascape design must match our house "modern". i had a bunch of dry rock around and start stacking it up every time she would say "no" it looks like a wall of rock.
then I found "VidaRock" you can't build the wall it's " aquascaping for dummies".
I have had it in the 50g for 7 months now "nothing leaching":) life is good

So I re- design our main 115g tank
For scale the two main tree pieces are 23" tall and about 22" wide

I am still moving coral in from the frag tank but here what I done so far

3cc does not have vida rock, vida rock is ceramic rock and costly at that, but they do make nice pieces.

Lol, I feel your pain on trying to make something other than a wall of rock. Looks like you found a good solution. In my current tank, I set up the rocks as two pillars but they both eventually crumbled into two rock-walls.

I usually dislike it when I see somebody commenting on somebody else's aquascape without being invited but..lol could you move the center rock so that it's off-center...

(Sorry, I had to say it)

but the rest of the scape looks sweet
