Is it worth driving from Clear Lake out there? I am going in 30 minutes so quick answers would be cool. Thanks

kenny is suppose to have some nice stuff this week. Call and find out. He usually has some very nice stuff. And he takes upon requests too. He has gotten me some nice corals in the past. I think its worth the drive.

I live in Northshore and I drive there (35 min.). I was there two days ago and picked up two nice corals. I wish it was closer but the deals are worth the drive. right now he has some really nice aqua cultured pieces that are great and more are coming in...

I was there earlier and he was pretty busy today.
Has a big shipment coming in tomorrow afternoon (lots of exotics) so they may not be out until Tuesday..:)

AC is one of the Only LFS that I always make it a point to go to when I hit the stores. I live 2 hours from Kenny..

Well, I went there and when I was asking him questions he said your reefed-out. My cover is blown, must get a new name. LOl. I bought his green carpet anemone and i forgot which goby. Hope the anemone doesnt melt on me, he said it should be fine. I am acclimating it for about 2 hours to make sure.

Well I know it was in good shape at the store so anything that goes wrong is because of my tank. Hope everything goes ok. I will take pictures and post if anyone cares to see.

Reefed-out: Did you check the SG from Aquatic Center? Mine said 1.029 on my refactometer. Wow! I have seen low but not that high. Acclimated an anemone with rock and stuff and cleaner shrimp for about 3-4 hrs. The anemone wouldn't come off the rock so I bought the rock too. Had a Pencil Sea Urchin, 2 emerald crabs and some mushrooms for $20. Then got 20% off the anemone and shrimp. I need to stay away from that place or leave my wallet behind. :)

Yeah, they said their SG was 1.025, mine is 1.022. Acclimated it for almost 2 hours. I used to be a MARSH member but stopped going. Maybe I should become a member again as many times as I post here now, Plus I could have saved some bucks today.

I live in Clear Lake, and I don't consider a drive to kenny's far at all. In fact, I consider it to be the "closest store to me, worth my time and effort to visit".

It also doesn't hurt that Kenny himself is such a nice guy. I often go in to window shop, and he always trests me just like I just spent a grand.... I really enjoy working with him, and have had great luck with his livestock.

Yeah, for some reason, I thought it was a lot farther than it was. It was actually pretty close. I bought the carpet and citron goby from him and everything is doing great. He was very patient with me also telling me how to acclimate the carpet etc. I will go back in the future.

Eric, were there any more citron gobies? I've always wanted one of those little guys.

Please post a pic if you can.

Thanks,
Sherri
