Aqueon 60 Breeder (1 Viewer)

So I was at Petco today looking for a 40 breeder and I noticed something interesting. Aqueon has a new tank out. It’s a 60 breeder, and it’s basically a 40 breeder with an extra foot (48L x 18W x 16H. This is a HUGE game changer for the sump scene. It’s retailing for $189 right now, but I’m curious if they include it in their periodic sale. Either way, it’s a great sized little tank. I expect to see them popping up a lot more soon in our community.

I saw them the other day. It's an awesome footprint for a sump or someone who wants a 4 foot tank without the height of a 75/90. If they put them on sale for under 100 during their aquarium sales, I'd probably buy a couple.

Same here. If they hit $125 I’m buying two. I’ll flirt with the idea once it hits $150 though.

Yeah no joke. The plastic trim on it seemed more robust than what they typically use though.

Yeah, I’d say so. Very nice to have a 60 breeder. Would be a great remote sump at waist level.

I think that is a great sump size... I been trying to get my hands on couple of the 90gallon aqueons but not able to find the amywhere

I don’t believe so. If I remember correctly…aqueon said a while back that the 40B isn’t tempered, but the larger tanks are.

It basically has the same footprint as the 75/90 which is tempered. I think there's a solid chance Aqueon repurposes the same bottom panel for the 60 breeder in the same way the the 40L is tempered because the same panel already exists with their 55 gallon tanks.
