I tried to post something but it said I was not allowed.

there are new rules, members only are permitted to list items for sale. there were a number of announcements at end of the year.

We opted to keep the members only forum separate so that Members could post items that only members could see. The other forums are open to the public for viewing.

Right, but down below in the regular for sale forum I couldn't post something for sale.

I understand there is a members only selling forum at the top but below the sponors there is general selling forum, if they are going to make us pay to view it, why not combine them?

If you become a member you will be able to post things for sale/buy in both forum sections and see the great deals/free stuff in the members only section. If you are a guest you can only browse the for sell forum but not put things for sale(only buy) and can not browse members only section. Hope this help you .
